Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us,--Hebrews 12:1

What a Beautiful Day!

Thank you Jesus for this reprieve from the heat and humidity! Today, on the drive to cross country practice, the temperature in the vehicle said it was 580 outside. It felt sooooooo good!

And, you might have already inferred, today's run was great too. I got in 6 miles with the kids and enjoyed every step of it!

I can't say I enjoyed every run last week, with elevated temps and moisture in the air. There were times a few days ago when I actually considered quitting. Toward the end of the week, I felt totally drained...but not today. This morning after practice, I went straight to the garage and got out the lawnmower. Now the front yard is cut. Tomorrow morning, I'll get the back.
"Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows." ~ James 1:17

Just like every other good thing on this earth we enjoy, today's weather was a gift from God! It won't last too long, I'm sure. I mean, this is Arkansas. Heat and humidity are staples in Arkansas, so days like this are to be cherished. So again, thank you Jesus for this beautiful day!
