Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us,--Hebrews 12:1

Daily Message: The Fundamental Truth ~ 1 Timothy 3:16

Today's message is simple, quite simple, yet the fundamental truth. We serve a great and mighty God who paid the ultimate price so that we might all be free. It's the cornerstone of our faith. Without accepting that as fact, nothing else matters and all hope is lost. But once you believe it, once you accept this ultimate truth, that's when you can have real peace and real freedom!

""Beyond all question, the mystery from which true godliness springs is great: He appeared in the flesh, was vindicated by the Spirit, was seen by angels, was preached among the nations, was believed on in the world, was taken up in glory."" ~ 1 Timothy 3:16

Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, came to earth as a man, lived a perfect life, and died a horrible death. And, in His few years walking through this world, He made an impact that no other man could have. Through His humble life, He taught and led His followers by His example of a sinless life.

He began with 12 men who followed as He taught, and His message spread across the entire world. 2000 years later, He is worshiped and recognized as Savior to millions. How could the son of a carpenter make such a mark on the world in a life that spanned little more than three decades?

The answer is simple, yet so hard for many to accept. Jesus Christ is the Son of God, sent by the Father as a sacrifice for our sin, so that we might all have an opportunity to join Him in Heaven for eternity!

I hope and pray that all who read this have made the decision to follow Him, or will make that decision before it's too late. God bless!
